Who We Are.

Our mission is to partner with schools and communities to support youth mental health, promote wellness, and ensure every young person feels seen, safe, and supported. SOAR (formerly PrairieCare Fund) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our communities. We focus on providing essential funding for youth mental health resources within Minnesota schools and nonprofits.
 
Since our inception in 2016, SOAR has awarded over $1.6 million in granted funds. These grants support a wide range of initiatives, including general mental health education, embedding mental health curriculum within classrooms, suicide prevention efforts, and much more.
 
None of this would be possible without the hard work, dedication, and contributions of our staff, board members, committees, donors, and partners. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health challenges in our community. At SOAR, we are dedicated to investing in the well-being of Minnesota youth, equipping them with the skills and tools necessary to navigate mental illness. Mental health impacts all of us, and resources are often scarce. However, with the generous support of our donors, we can expand the availability of resources from an early age.
